I wanted to make these brownies for such a long time. So, when we were invited for a surprise baby shower this weekend, the first thing I asked them was if I could make some brownies.

Once I baked these brownies and tasted these, I ended up telling my hubby that he will fall in love with me all over again after tasting these..!! *wink* *wink*

I was so happy after making these and got loads of compliments for them too. These brownies were so amazing. These are not the cakey kind of brownie. They are soft, fudgy and melt in your mouth.

Once you make these, I can promise you, they will turn out amazing. You should definitely try these at least once.

So, let’s quickly see, how to make these.

Preparation Time: 5 Mins    Baking Time: 35- 45 mins    Serves- 15 small pieces

All You Need:

  1. Unsalted Butter (softened at room temperature)- ¾ Cup
  2. Granulated Sugar- 1 Cup
  3. All-Purpose Flour- 2/3 Cup
  4. Eggs- 2
  5. Vanilla Extract- 2 tsp
  6. Salt- ¼ tsp
  7. Warm Water- 2 Tbsp
  8. Instant coffee granules- 1 ½ tsp
  9. Cocoa Powder- 1 Tbsp
  10. Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips- 1 ¼ Cup (melted)
  11. Semi- Sweet Chocolate Chips- to sprinkle on top (optional)

A Few Tips:

  • Don’t overmix the batter. Just mix it all lightly.
  • You can add nuts of your choice and fold it in the batter or sprinkle on top. I just added chocolate chips.
  • I always use coffee whenever I’m baking something with chocolate. It really brings out the flavor of chocolate. But you could skip the water and coffee.
  • If you are using salted butter, skip the salt.
  • When you check the brownie with a toothpick, there will still be little wet crumbs. But be careful, it should not be wet batter.
  • I have used a microwave to melt the chocolate, you can melt it using a double boiler.

Method:

  • Line a square 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper. Leave the edges hanging out of the pan. (as shown in th image below)

  • Preheat the oven at 350°F.
  • In a microwave safe bowl, melt your chocolate. Heat it up for 30 seconds, then stir. Again heat it up for 30 seconds and stir again. Continue until its completely melted. It should take 1 minute and 30 seconds.
  • Take warm water and add the coffee to it. Mix and set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar with a spatula. Mix until combined well.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract. Mix.
  • Add the coffee mixture and mix.
  • Now add flour, cocoa powder and salt. Mix everything until well combined.
  • Now, fold in the melted chocolate. Don’t over mix the batter.
  • Add a few chocolate chips and fold in.
  • Pour the batter in the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle a few chocolate chips on top.

  • Bake for 35- 45 mins. When you will insert a toothpick, it will still have some wet crumbs on it BUT NOT WET BATTER.
  • Once baked, let it cool completely in the pan.

  • Using the hanging ends of the parchment paper, pull out the brownie once cooled.
  • Cut into desired shape and size. Serve..!!

These are so delicious, chocolaty and rich. You should definitely try these once. You will fall in love with these.

Do try this out and let me know how it turned out.

Hi Rashmi, these sure were really delicious.
I haven’t tried the eggless version yet but i’ve heard that buttermilk works too.
But i recommend checking it online once. There are some substitutes there. I’ve checked. Just type “egg substitute in brownie”.
Hope you find something and do let me know how it turns out. 🙂
