Summers is one time when you just want to have something refreshing and cooling. I know water is the best drink and nothing can beat that but remember those times when you just need something else and you end up drinking soft drinks. They aren’t healthy a while you get bored of having the same thing time and again.
What if you could have something healthy and refreshing at the same time? This is a drink I made for some friends who came for lunch. This can be served to kids as well and I think they would love it..!! 😀
For all those who have had Sangria, would know that it contains wine and it cannot be served to kids and not everyone relishes wine or for that matter alcoholic drinks, so to make a non-alcoholic version of Sangria, I made it with very simple things and its super quick to make..!!
So, let’s find out what all we need to make this drink..!! J
Preparation Time: 10 mins Cooling Time: ATLEAST 2 hours Serves: 6

All You Need:
- White Grape juice- 3 Cups
- Cranberry juice- 1 ½ Cups
- Water- 1 Cup
- Orange- 2
- Plums- 1 or 2
- Lemon- 1 (big)
A Few Tips:
- I made the grape juice at home as I had a lot of grapes lying in my fridge and I did not want to buy a huge bottle of grape juice. If you want to make grape juice at home, make sure you filter the juice using a sieve as you want the juice to be clear.
- You can also add some orange juice but be careful as the grape juice is very sweet, so just reduce the amount of grape juice.
- Refrigerating overnight is the best thing to do. Everything blends together perfectly.
Method:
- First of all you need to slice all the fruits. You can slice them in any shape or size. It doesn’t really matter much.
- Then, in a pitcher, add the grape juice & cranberry juice (if you’re adding orange juice, add it at this point).
- Now, add the fruits and lightly mix everything together using a thin wooden spatula or water fits in your pitcher.
- Refrigerate it for about 2 hours. You could even make it a night before in you have guests coming over for lunch. I refrigerated it overnight.
- Right before serving, add water to the pitcher and mix.
- Decorate the glass with an orange or lime wedge.
- Serve with some salted nuts.
Enjoy this refreshing and guilt free drink. Do let me know how you liked it.
